Removal is part of the job, not something you have to arrange separately. We disconnect the sink and any fixtures, pull the old countertop, and haul it away for disposal. Cabinets and flooring get protected during the process — old countertops are heavy and awkward to move, and it’s not something we treat casually.
What Install Day Actually Looks Like
For a straightforward reinstall onto existing cabinets, removal and install can often happen the same day. If cabinets are changing too, or the layout’s shifting, that adds time. Sink and faucet reconnection happens same-day in most cases, so you’re not without a working kitchen sink any longer than necessary.
New Construction and Renovation Timing
For new builds or full renovations, timing matters — we template after cabinets are set but generally before flooring or backsplash tile goes in, since those trades often need to work around the finished countertop edge. We coordinate directly with your contractor on this if one’s involved.
Occasionally, especially for older or lower-quality cabinet boxes — we check this during the in-home measure, not on install day when it’s too late to plan for it.
